About The Founder

Namrata Menon is a Yoga Acharya, Yoga Shiromani & a Yoga Bhaskara from the Sivananda Internationsl Vedanta Academy.

She has spent the last 24 years in teaching & promoting the ancient Indian sciences of Yoga & Ayurveda. With the objective of bringing awareness of the great benefits ancient Indian culture & sciences have to offer to modern society for Health, work productivity & personal well being.

Namrata Menon gave up the corporate world in 1999, & set up one of the country’s first Yoga Studios in Goa. Which was used to impart, both, theoretical & practical training to individuals, educational institutions & corporates.

In recognition of her work , the Goa government appointed Namrata as their Brand Ambassador for Yoga in march 2019.

Before giving up the corporate world, Namrata worked with various MNCs such as ITC, Ogilvy, JWT & Euro RSCG.

Namrata did her graduation in Economics from St. Stephens College, Delhi. And a post-graduation from JNU, Delhi. She was awarded the All India Research Fellowship by the UGC. She then did an MBA from IRMA in Gujrat, & a PG in Communications from MICA, Ahmedabad.

Prior to this, Namrata was also a Visiting Faculty at various Management institutes across like XLRI, Jamshedpur, Loyola in Chennai , GIM , & Goa University.

She has practiced martial arts for many years & is also a Black Belt in Karate from the International Shotokan Association, Japan.

Namrata did her graduation in Economics from St. Stephens College, Delhi; and a post-graduation in economics from JNU, Delhi. She was awarded the All India Research Fellowship by the UGC after she completed her Masters from JNU. She then did an MBA from IRMA (Institute of Rural Management), in Gujrat. She has also done a post graduate diploma in Communications from MICA (Mudra Institute of Communication), Ahmedabad.

Namrata then spent over a decade in the Corporate world, where she held various portfolios in sales, marketing and advertising with some of the biggest names & brands in the Industry ITC Ltd, Ogilvy & Mather, Hindustan Levers, JWT, etc.

She was also a Visiting Faculty at various Management institutes across the country like XLRI, Jamshedpur, Loyola Institute of Business Mngt, Goa Institute of Mngt, Goa University, etc where she taught Sales, Marketing & Advertising.

In the year 2000, Namrata gave up the Corporate world and set up World of Yoga, an internationally registered school of Yoga in Goa.

She is a Yoga Acharya, Yoga Shiromani & Yoga Bhaskara from the Sivananda International Vedanta Academy..who has spent over two decades in the intense study and practice of Yoga. She is also a Black Belt in Karate from the International Shotokan Headquarters, Japan. Namrata has been learning & practising martial arts for over three decades.

Namrata initiated World of Yoga in Goa, in 2000; as an institution that could be an instrument of change & betterment for people in all spheres of life; at a time when little was known or practiced of yoga.

World of Yoga, Goa, imparts ,both,theoretical & practical training in the techniques of Yoga to individuals, educational institutions & corporates.It spearheads Corporate training, Productivity enhancement and Stress Management programs.

In 2013, World of Yoga diversified into Ayurveda...introducing therapeutic programs which aid people to alleviate lifestyle related issues.In recognition of her work for the last two decades, in March 2019, the Goa Government appointed her as the Brand Ambassador for Yoga for the State of Goa.
